#11.3    Getaway 2.0

New romantic getaway for Maya and Marc.

For the first time since the birth of their youngest in August 2023, Maya and Marc are finally treating themselves to a moment just for the two of them. With Lucas on vacation, they entrust Djulian to his grandmother and escape to the mountains, skis on their feet.

Six years after the first webisode of their last getaway, we find them once again on the slopes of Les Crosets, in the Portes du Soleil ski area, as well as in Verbier. Under a radiant sun and in perfect conditions, the couple rediscovers the joy of skiing together. Far from the hustle and bustle of daily life, they reconnect with the bond forged by their shared passion: telemark skiing.

Maya is growing more confident with her new Reliance 92 skis from Armada, which suit her perfectly. She carves turns with ease, a smile on her face—a visible source of pride. Meanwhile, Marc is thrilled with his new cameras, which he is getting the hang of. He passionately captures every movement, every emotion, immortalizing these moments of togetherness.

The timing couldn’t have been better—this weekend happened to be Valentine’s Day! A return to their roots that reminds them that, despite the passing years and their responsibilities, their love for telemark skiing—and for each other—remains unchanged.

#11.2    Weaving Through Tourists

A few turns above the fog, among the tourists.

The last snowfalls already seem a long way off: it’s been nearly a month since the sky has remained stingy. Fortunately, the persistent cold keeps the snow in surprisingly good condition, despite the growing need for more. Thanks to the exceptional work of the ski lift teams, the slopes of our domain, Les Portes du Soleil, remain an inspiring playground.

No freeriding this time: the mountain reveals itself differently. With our new onboard cameras and tracking drones ready to capture every movement, we embarked on two days of on-piste escape.

Under a blazing sun and above the fog covering the plain, join our team as they carve elegant turns with precision, weaving boldly and fluidly among unpredictable tourists.

#11.1    It’s time

An ascent, a descent and a few tests.

At the start of this 11th season, we’re kicking things off with new filming equipment: microphones, drones, lenses, and much more. To test it all in real conditions, we’re heading to the mountains!

Marc joined Alban at Les Crosets to check out one of Alban’s new toys: the HoverAir. This small autonomous drone, which takes off directly from your hand, is compact, ultra-lightweight, and delivers stunning image quality. It’s already proving to be an essential tool for this season.

Despite fickle weather, including bouts of thick fog, the good mood remained intact. And even though Marc had to deal with some discomfort while breaking in his new boots, the energy of the season’s kickoff was unmistakable. We’re back!
